Numerous reports abound from cities and counties that officers will not be sent to “non criminal” or “non violent” complaints due to fears of COVID-19 contagion. It begs a question we’ve never had to ask before-the balance between crime, personal safety and restricted policing policy. As we ponder this balance, the Second Amendment is still in the Constitution, every citizen still has a right to self protection, and we pray for safety of our first responders.
